Just book your table, arrive & let us do the talking. Our Tasting Expereince is 9 lovely individual dishes, representing the best of our kitchen, chefs, suppliers & of course seasonal produce.

Gourmet restaurant dishes on a round table, including wine glasses, cheese board with crackers and grapes, and various plated appetizers.

In true Talland Bay style, we do things a little different. 

Each dish is presented & explained by the team. Showcasing our knowledge of the produce as well as serving & pouring the wine accompanying the dish.

Have the full experience by adding our wine flight for an additional £40 per person

The Experience

  • Two melon balls topped with capers and garnished with dill on a white plate.

    Nibbles & Cocktails In The bar

    Nibbles will be presented along with the menu of the dishes to follow, perfectly accompanied by a seasonal cocktail

  • Plated dish featuring a layered, crispy potato block topped with creamy sauce, sautéed mushrooms, and herbs on a white plate, set against a blue background.

    Amuse Bouche

    Something small & tasty, served once you are sat. You will most likely still have your cocktail, so we will skip the wine pairing for this one.

  • A gourmet dish featuring a cut quail egg with vibrant yolk, garnished with radish slices, microgreens, and pearl onions, served on a bed of mixed ingredients in a shallow bowl.

    First, of Two Small Plates

    Either hot or cold, this first small plate will showcase good cooking, perfectly executed & your first wine pairing is matched. We do pick wines from both Old & New World.

  • Gourmet dish with sliced bread, microgreens, grapefruit segments, cherry tomatoes, and a green sauce on a white plate.

    Something Fishy

    Scallops tend to shine here, as Glen loves receiving hand dived scallops from our fish monger. Normally something high acidity to complement the natural sweetness of our local fish produce.

    The Main Event

    This dish will consist of meat, game or poultry & will showcase Glen & Co's execution of timing, cooking methods, flavours, balance, use of produce & seasonality.

    Rioja Reserva, Californian Zinfandel, South African Pinotage are just some of the fantastic reds we would usually offer.

  • Elegant dessert with layered pastry, cream, strawberries, and kiwi topped with sorbet in a white bowl, accompanied by a glass of sparkling wine.

    Time to Calm Down, a Little

    Something fun, cold, refreshing & light. After a few wines, a few dishes, we know you might want something a little lighter before something sweet.

  • Dessert plate with a small tart topped with cream and nuts, accompanied by a scoop of ice cream on a dark round plate.

    The Stars In Pastry

    Sweet but savory, rich but easy. This is where some of the fun happens. We always like to show off a little in pastry & have a large selection of sweet wines to accompany. Sometimes, we will serve fizz with pastry, as we all like a little class ..

  • Selection of six different gourmet cheeses on a wooden board, each labeled with small flags: Driftwood, Sharpham Brie, Old Winchester, Sharpham Rustic with Sea Lettuce, Devon Blue, and Cornish Yarg.

    Cheese ... Not just for Gromit

    We usually serve one cheese, we like to offer our Blue cheese as it is the perfect match for our Olorosso Cream Sherry. Words cannot describe the match, so you will just have to try it & see!
