MAKE THE MOST OF CORNWALL
Cornwall is a land of coastal heaths, flushed with heather. A place where pristine beaches unfurl for miles at a time.
Where undulating hills meet open sea. Where an oceanic climate nurtures tropical gardens, verdant, deep, and a wonder to explore. If it’s your first time, prepare to fall in love.
On the other side of our headland is one of the most quintessential fishing villages in the county. It’s the village you imagine when you imagine Cornwall, with fishing boats in the harbour and ancient cottages climbing up the hillside. Polperro is a beautiful place, worth taking some time over.
Alongside the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, The Minack is the most iconic theatre in our country. A magnificent amphitheatre, hewn from the rock high above Porthcurno beach. On a summer’s evening, with the vast Atlantic Ocean as a backdrop, it’s a singular experience watching a production here.
A true lost world brought back to life by visionary horticulturalists. The Gardens of the Heligan Estate were once just briars and creepers. What lay beneath was unknown and abandoned. In 1990 they were discovered once more, and after the biggest garden renovation project in Europe, some mysterious and magical gardens were resurrected. A wonderful place to lose yourself for a few hours.
Taking on a scenic stretch of the South West Coast Path, is perhaps the best way to experience the Cornish Coast. Often, you’ll find yourself alone for hours at a time. Nothing but the rippling wild grass and roar of the ocean.
Cornwall is world famous for its spectacular beaches. From hidden coves, to surfer’s paradises. From silken sands to smuggler’s caves. When you visit, you’ll see why the tough, yet gentle Cornish coast has been an inspiration for artists and writers for generations and will be for generations to come.
The Eden Project is a five-time winner of the British Travel Awards, Best Leisure Attraction accolade. It’s easy to see why. There’s nothing else like it; huge biomes that simulate the climates of our planet, with more than 1000 different plant species between them. The botanical skill involved is mind-blowing and their dedication to environmental issues and education is second to none.
